I saw this on another character website and thought it was a wonderful idea, so here is a list of songs that remind me of Selene in some way or another. The list will continue to grow over time, but for now, here it is.
"Save Tonight" Eagle-Eye Cherry This song came out roughly around the same time that Selene and Pantoleon began courting and it has always stuck with me as one of their songs for a couple of reasons. There is one scene where Selene and Pantoleon spend an entire night talking (really, just talking) but when morning's light breaks through the window the realize what this will look like and Selene must slip away quietly. Secondly, because of RL, Pantoleon wasn't always around, and it was explained by him going off on family business, leaving Selene behind in Haven. Tomorrow comes to take me away

"La Luna" Sarah Brightman To be honest, her entire album by the same name is very Selene, but this song stands out because of the lyrics more than the musical accompaniment. The lyrics fit exactly with the story Selene told Cyrano about the Empyrean moon goddess, Celene, being a protector who watches over the Empyre as they sleep. The night falls

"The Wrong Man Was Convicted" Barenaked Ladies Anyone that has heard this song will understand just how heart-wrenching it is. If you haven't heard it and doubt that, find the song, the Ladies do more than just goofy pop songs. Anyway, I was listening to this shortly after Selene told Alcander it was over and I began to tear up, imagining that this song was coming from his point of view. Who's breathless now?

"Woke Up This Morning" A3 (Sopranos Theme) I've liked this song since I've seen The Sopranos but just recently it seemed to fit really well into a period in Selene's life. After riding on prosperity that she and her husband had worked for after the war, she learns that her husband's brother, Lysander, was responsible for Emperor Justinius' murder, a man who was also her maternal grandfather. The news hit her extremely hard as she saw everything she worked for possibly being swept away by the dead Princeps treasonous actions. When you woke up this morning everything was gone.
