A noble House with an ancient tradition, the House of Apollo can trace its founding back to the illustrious Empyrean made god by men--the impetuous, hot-headed god of the sun. In all its long tradition, it has produced more than its share of Aegians, and more than a few Emperors, and a number of mages, the most notable being Apollo himself, who first raised Civitas Dei into the clouds and had a hand in the founding of Delphi.

The members of House Acesius are very proud of their heritage and their magical ability, and as proud public servants of a proud race, they can sometimes be considered stiff-necked and old-fashioned in their ways. Almost all the family has been instructed in the ways of politics, and most are astute observers of political and social situations--be they members of the Aegis or not. Civility, service, and loyalty to both the family and the Empyre are expected in this noble House, and members are brought up from birth with these goals in mind.
